Dear UCOPS Members,

As every police agency and union in the nation scrambles to deal with the COVID-19 virus outbreak, it can be easy to become focused on just trying to get through the next day. It is critical that police union leaders have access to the best practices implemented at other agencies across the country to improve your ability to protect your membership and community. 

UCOPS has compiled several useful and easily replicated policies, procedures and protocols from member organizations for your review. These were either negotiated or implemented by UCOPS member jurisdictions and they may be useful to you as you navigate this uncertain time. 

Some of these items may already be in place at your agency. Some may be completely new ideas. However, we also want your ideas and what you have implemented at your agency to share with others. If you have policies or best practices you believe would be of value to fellow law enforcement associations, please send those best practices, and whatever supportive material you have to us and we will disseminate. You can send to president@ucops.org.
