TWO TEENAGE “JOGGERS” WERE CAUGHT ON BODYCAMERAS FLEEING A CAR-PROWLING SCENE.
At 2:45 a.m., Jacksonville officers responded to reports of armed suspects breaking into vehicles. They caught the teens in the act—and both ran while armed.
One suspect ignored repeated commands,... dropped a stolen handgun and reached toward his waistband before a K9 took him down.
The bodycam tells the truth. Officers confronted armed suspects, and arrested the suspects for nine car burglaries.

Unfortunately for the guy larping as a senator (DC has no senators), the mere presence of 1000s of National Guard has been a proven deterrent to crime.
The permanent answer is to properly staff the MPD so we no longer need their assistance, but the fake senator supports
